Biography

Richard has worked in weed ecology and evolution as a research technician for nearly 25 years. For the past 15 years, his work has focused on herbicide resistance in UK weed species, one of the main challenges facing the farming sector currently. Richard's particular area of interest is in trying to relate the results that we obtain from a range of experiments, be that field, glasshouse or lab, into meaningful practical guidance for farmers and agronomists. Currently, he is working on two Institute Strategic Projects; Agzero+ and Growing Health and also annual monitoring on the BGRI/ Rothamsted black-grass farm network, which has been running since 2014.
