Biography
Mark joined the Analytical Chemistry Unit in 2015 and manages its ICP facility. He is responsible for maintaining and operating the Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometers (ICP-OES) and Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) for major and trace elemental analyses of plant, soil and environmental samples. He is also responsible for organising and updating risk assessments for the Unit. Mark has previously worked in plant physiology/nutrition and soil microbiology, and brings his experience as a research scientist to his current role as an analytical specialist.
