The big picture: using wildflower strips for pest control
Farming Footprints and Adaptations
Hari Ram is an agroecosystem biogeochemist with expertise in pollutant source fingerprinting and carbon biogeochemistry in soil and aquatic systems. He has experience in catchment processes relevant to managing agricultural diffuse pollution and promoting sustainability. His specialist skills and research interests include diffuse pollutant source apportionment using state-of-the-art stable isotope techniques (both bulk and compound-specific) combined with Bayesian mixing models, soil moisture dynamics and their impact on crop yield and grain quality, as well as the resilience of catchment regulatory functions against abiotic stresses such as extreme rainfall and drought, all within the context of policy targets.
