Ahmed Al‑Mayahi is a PhD student at the University of Reading and Rothamsted Research in the UK. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Soil Sciences, with a minor in Water Technologies in 2016, and his Master’s degree in Soil and Water Management in 2018, both from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. His PhD research explores how plants recruit beneficial bacteria in the soil and how this process can reduce the need for chemical fertilizers.
