Biography

Jade is a PhD student working in collaboration with the University of Exeter as part of the UKRI-BBSRC funded SWBio doctoral training program.

Jade's PhD project, under the supervision of Professor Kim Hammond-Kosack (RRS) and Dr Hans-Wilhelm Nützmann (UoE), aims to identify the sub-cellular localization of effector proteins secreted by Fusarium graminearum utilising bioinformatics, molecular and microscopy techniques.

Previously, Jade completed her MSci in Biological Sciences at the University of Bristol where her research project aimed to improve the genetic manipulation toolkit available for Armillaria mellea under the supervision of Dr Kathryn Ford.
