Soil Health and Management
Imrul is a member of the soil physics group at Rothamsted Research. He is responsible for managing field experiments, operating various field measurements, conducting laboratory analysis in the soil physics lab, and maintaining equipment belonging to the Soil Health and Management department, including a neutron probe, moisture probe, tension chambers, Micromeritics SediGraph, and Electromagnetic Induction (EMI).
Currently, Imrul is part of the Delivering Sustainable Wheat (DSW) strategic research programme. He is interested in the advanced study of soil, water, and environmental science, particularly in soil and plant root interactions, moisture measurement using various types of sensors, and root phenotyping under different agricultural management systems.
