About

Help shape the future of sustainable fertiliser! Green ammonia could transform how fertiliser is produced and supplied in the UK. But what would it mean for farmers in practice?

What is green ammonia?

Green ammonia is produced using renewable energy rather than fossil fuels. It has
the potential to:

  • Reduce the carbon footprint of fertiliser production
  • Improve long-term fertiliser sustainability
  • Support climate-smart farming
  • Increase resilience in future fertiliser supply chains

The workshop will explore both the opportunities and the practical challenges of
using green ammonia fertiliser on UK farms.

Join fellow farmers, researchers and policy experts to discuss:

  • Farm-level costs and benefits
  • Infrastructure and storage requirements
  • Risks and opportunities to UK agriculture
  • Incentives and support systems
  • What policies are needed to make adoption practical and profitable

No prior knowledge of green ammonia is required to attend the workshop.
