About

Agriculture is an incredibly complex and risky undertaking. Most of humanity depends on farmers’ abilities to produce enough food to feed the rest of us: 8.3 billion people today. But with the climate changing and the global population expected to reach 10.3 billion by 2080, is there a way to give farmers a window into the future? Come hear from Rothamsted scientist Dr Ellen Mass how scientists are addressing this critical question.

Café Scientifique is a place where anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place in cafes, bars, restaurants and even theatres, but always outside a traditional academic context. Anyone is welcome to come and learn something new, ask questions, and join in the discussion.
