About

Join us in DEVON to discover more about predatory beetles, contribute to design of tools, and see some of Rothamsted’s exciting agricultural science.

Dr Kelly Jowett, Dr Robert Dunn and PhD student Gen Kiero-Watson, in collaboration with the Devon Silvopasture Network and EDLRS, invite farmers and agronomists to a workshop day at Rothamsted Research, which provides an opportunity to assess ID tools in a structured social science method, to identify what is useful and useable by farmers and farm advisors in the identification of predatory carabid beetles.

Participants will also learn about beetle identification and how to monitor beetles on their farm. This will involve completion of a pre-workshop survey which will be sent prior to this event. BASIS points are available.

Attendees will also get to see the field experiments and Silvopasture plots and learn about dung beetles and our research into sustainable livestock systems.

Tea, coffee, and snacks provided.

Spaces limited- please register!
