    • Overview of role:
      Rothamsted Research is seeking an ecological modeller to analyse large data sets on insect occupancy and abundance and to develop trait-based models to explore the factors that contribute to insect declines in the UK. The successful candidate should have a strong background in mathematical modelling, statistics, and/or ecological sciences. They will be required to organise large data sets on various insect species and the potential drivers of observed increases or declines. They should have a keen interest in exploring methods from statistics, machine learning and process-based modelling to analyse these data thoroughly and develop novel ways of modelling insect population dynamics.
