Protecting Crops and the Environment
Tim has been a member of the bioenergy group since 2004. He has worked on numerous different projects researching into renewable energy generation from biomass. The main focus of his work is on dedicated energy crops, such as Miscanthus and SRC willow, looking into feedstock production, improving yields and fuel quality for different end markets. Tim has a broad range of skills that include fieldwork (on and off site); taking detailed measurements of crop growth and physiology; collection of samples for a wide range of analysis; lab work (sample preparation and sample analysis); data collection and analysis; and reporting findings internally and externally to project members.
