Post-doctoral Research Scientist – Grazing systems
Sustainable Agriculture Sciences
Sarah’s research interests are centred around producing products with enhanced nutritional quality from sustainable and efficient grass-based ruminant (beef & sheep) production systems. She has experience of carrying our research related to forage quality and meat quality, with particular emphasis on omega-3 fatty acids; and research relating to meat safety. Sarah has an agricultural background and has worked in collaboration with commercial partners throughout her research career.
Sarah is now the Postdoctoral Research Scientist for an ERDF funded project assessing the sustainability of cell grazing (TechnoGrazing) vs. continuous grazing (set-stocking) in a dairy x beef production system. This project will evaluate some of the environmental, economic and social impacts of cell grazing vs. set-stocking, in collaboration with commercial partners.
