BIOGRAPHY
Robbie's PhD project is built upon the development of mathematical models, based on the evolution between symbiotic lifestyles, for example, the evolution from commensalism to parasitism. Using "adaptive dynamics", he hopes to develop knowledge of why such changes occur in nature. Robbie has a strong foundation of knowledge in mathematical modelling, which he will build upon in his project; and he is proficient in the software language MATLAB. Before his PhD project, Robbie worked at Rothamsted Research as a casual research assistant, working on a population genetics model of a wheat-septoria system.
