RICHARD HULL

Weed Ecology Technician

Biointeractions and Crop Protection

BIOGRAPHY

Richard has worked in weed ecology and evolution as a research technician for more than 15 years. For the past 10 years, his work has focused on herbicide resistance in UK weed species, one of the main challenges facing the farming sector currently. Richard's particular area of interest is in trying to relate the results that we obtain from a range of experiments, be that field, glasshouse or lab, into meaningful practical guidance for farmers and agronomists. Currently, he is working on the BBSRC-HGCA funded Black-grass Resistance Initiative (BGRI), which is a transdisciplinary project that aims to provide new resistance control strategies.
