BIOGRAPHY
Petros is a motivated agronomist with a strong background in molecular biology and biotechnology. He is interested in the impact of plant nutrition on the development of cereal crops both in physiological and molecular level. He obtained both his Diploma and his Master form the Agricultural University of Athens. During his previous studies, he had mostly focused on the sulfur metabolism, while now he is mainly working on the nitrogen plant nutrition. He is familiar with a range of molecular and analytical techniques and he can successfully carry through with both field and laboratory work. In February 2018 he joined Rothamsted Research as a PhD student working on the molecular and chemical regulation of tillering in wheat under the supervision of Malcolm J. Hawkesford. His project is entitled "Genetic Variation and Chemical Control of Tillering in Wheat" and it is funded by Groupe Roullier.
