Sustainable Agriculture Sciences
Nikos is interested in remote sensing and environmental modelling, combining scientific programming and GIS applications for agriculture and hydrology. His areas of expertise are remote sensing applications in the environment, hydrology and integrated water management, GIS analysis, water-soil-plant- atmosphere relations, crop modelling, scientific computing and programming. After graduating with a Diploma degree in Environmental Engineering (TUC) and MSc in Environmental Modelling (UCL), He worked as GIS and Data Analyst at UCL (2015) and water management scientist at Centre of Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) (2016). In 2017, Nikos has started his PhD at Rothamsted Research and Cranfield University, investigating remote sensing applications in agriculture. His focus is on crop productivity indicators for on-farm management as part of the Agri-Tech Research Innovation Accelerator (AgRIA) located at the centre of the Harpenden Campus.
