BIOGRAPHY

Mesfin is a PhD candidate with the International Agriculture DTP at the University of Nottingham and Rothamsted Research. His current scientific interests are understanding the nutrients driving Zinc availability in the soil for plant uptake, partitioning between the grain and straw, and trying to develop fertilizer application strategies to improve Zn loadings in the grain of Teff [(Eragrostis tef (Zucc.) Trotter] on the major soil types of Ethiopia.
