Dr KHALID MAHMOOD
Impact Lab Project Manager
Sustainable Soils and Crops
Khalid is an Innovation and partnership manager working with Scientists and Industry. He is leading as a project manager for Environment Futures Impact Lab-Multi partner ERDF project involving big data science and environment futures.
His interests are to engage the agritech industry to understand their challenges and match with researchers to develop innovative solutions. He is promoting the Rothamsted Research unique capability of Farm Platform and developing new solutions around IoT, data visualisation and interpretations.
He is very keen in adopting interdisciplinary approach to address sustainable food system challenges. He is advocating Rothamsted solutions to water pollution, soil health, plants, livestock and air quality.
He is working with a variety of businesses from SMEs to large corporations to tackle the great challenges of climate change. Khalid is trained as an agriculture economist with PhD from University of Gottingen Germany. He has previously worked with Royal Agricultural University and various other industry organisations.

- Helped setting up various agritech partnership projects with UK and International Agri tech companies. Account manager for various corporate clients. Sitting on the steering committee of South West centre of excellence for Satellite Applications in Agri Tech and Digital Agri Interest Group.
