BIOGRAPHY
Keywan is head of bioinformatics at Rothamsted Research and founder of KnetMiner. He has a PhD in Bioinformatics and Genome Research from Bielefeld University and has worked in bioinformatics and software development for over ten years. His research focuses on all aspects of integrative bioinformatics including data integration, knowledge management, text mining, graph theory, deep learning and visual analytics. The Hassani-Pak lab builds genome-scale knowledge networks, develops open-source software and applies data analytics to accelerate candidate gene discovery across species. Keywan is co-lead of the Pest Genomics Initiative and organiser of the Integrative Bioinformatics Symposium 2018 to take place at Rothamsted this summer.
