BIOGRAPHY
David is a synthetic organic chemist with experience in analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, chemical ecology, molecular biology and biochemistry. His work entails the identification, investigation and synthesis of small lipophilic semiochemicals, along with other pheromonal components with the ultimate goal of developing novel pest management methods. David is also interested in the pathways involved in the biosynthesis and release of pheromones and semiochemicals in insects and plants. He is involved in discovering and identifying the role of enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of such semiochemicals.
