London International Youth Science Forum

Rothamsted Research is committed to its work in collaboration with local schools. Through Research Councils UK and the BBSRC's network of Local Schools Coordinators, Rothamsted Research helps local schools to develop links with our scientists. Our work with schools aims:

• to engage young people with cutting edge research, stimulating their curiosity in sciences
• to inspire and raise students' aspirations to take up scientific careers, in order to maintain the UK workforce supply, essential to the economic success of the country
• to support the students and teachers in understanding current scientific and technological challenges to equip them to participate in an informed democratic society
• to provide opportunities for our researchers to engage with different audiences to improve their own continuous professional development
