Rhizosphere Biology

This programme takes an holistic view of soil and rhizosphere biology at the molecular, whole organism, and population scale in order to understand interactions in the rhizosphere, with especial emphasis on plant parasitic nematodes and rhizosphere microorganisms. The programme integrates research on the population dynamics and host parasite interactions of cyst and root-knot nematodes with research on microbial interactions in the rhizosphere

Head of Programme: Prof. Brian Kerry

Nematodes Interaction Unit: Prof Brian Kerry
Soil Microbial Ecology: Dr Penny Hirsch
Invertebrate Pathology and Biocontrol: Dr Keith Davies
Plant Nematode Interactions: Dr Rosane Curtis
Rhizosphere Biology & Plant Nutrition: Dr Tony Miller

Plant Pathology is not just for Christmas!
