Biography

Reynaldi is currently working on a UKRI/BBSRC-NSF/BIO project in determining the roles of Fusarium graminearum effector proteases in plant pathogenesis, and utilising this knowledge to engineer disease resistant wheat lines against F. graminearum.

He received his PhD from The Australian National University, Australia where his research project focused on discovering virulence factors of barley scald pathogen, Rhynchosporium commune. Prior to his PhD, he completed his MSc in BioSciences at The University of Melbourne where he characterised a secondary metabolite gene cluster of Leptosphaeria maculans, a causal agent of blackleg disease on Brassica crops.
