Enzymes are selected from the light blue list by a single mouse click. Selected enzymes are shown in the green list box at the top right of the page.

Next select whether the DNA target is linear or circular.

Then click on the 'Digest' button.

RESearch displays where each enzyme will cut the target DNA. All of these cut positions are sorted, and fragment sizes calculated and sorted as they would be in an agarose gel.

If all of the selected enzymes are Amersham products the 'Check' button checks for buffer and temperature compatibilities of the selected restriction enzymes and recommends whether they can be used simultaneously or should be used consecutively.
