sequences

RESearch can analyse only one sequence at a time, but that sequence can be manipulated in various ways:

It can be edited using the standard Windows clipboard cut, copy and paste operations. In this way it can be combined with other sequences e.g. vector + insert etc.

Modified sequences can be reverse-complemented, reformatted and saved for future reference.

The sequence to be analysed is loaded and displayed in the NtSequence page.

RESearch can import GCG and ASCII sequence files, and it reformats sequences to the GCG format.

The total size of the sequence and its description that can be edited in RESearch version 1.0 is limited to 32,000 bytes, but it can load and analyse (but not edit) larger sequences up to 65,000 nucleotides.

Later versions of RESearch will be able to edit and analyse larger sequences.
