Training and Capacity BuildingWe regularly seek applicants for Legal Interns and Technology Transfer Interns. No roles are available at present however we expect to advertise such posts during summer 2012. Details will be posted at that time on this page.
Our Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation activities also include high-level technical and scientific training for industry. A Post Graduate Course in Crop Protection was launched earlier this year to support Continued Professional Development, with funding primarily driven by the BBSRC and HGCA. Knowledge transfer between scientists and agronomists and farmers is encouraged through the Rothamsted Research Association, a membership organisation that facilitates interaction and dialogue between researchers and practitioners. More generally, every year we run or support a number of events, including seminars, workshops, conferences and open weekends, in relevant areas of biotech or agricultural sciences. Many of these are open to businesses, the scientific community and the general public. Over 90 events have been hosted since January 2006, attended by an excess of 27,300 people. For information on forthcoming events, please visit our Scientific Conferences and Meetings page at Rothamsted Research. |
