SUSTAIN

An EU FV project funded under it's 'Quality of life and management of living resources' programme.

QLK5-CT-2001-01461

This project aims to develop new wheat genotypes able to use nitrogen more efficiently to mitigate pollution in the environment. This will be done using the latest molecular, genetic and physiological tools to select for characteristics which enhance the use and retention of nitrogen in wheat plants. The advance in science should underpin farming wheat in a sustainable manner.
