Broom's Barn Applied Crop Sciences

Weather Menu

The weather station at Broom's Barn has operated continuously since 1964. It provides data for our scientists, local media and businesses, and for display on the Internet. An automatic weather station was installed in 1993, initially to collect radiation readings, but has now become the principal means of gathering our weather data. It logs data from 14 sensors around the met site and is connected to a PC inside our main building.

Now the pages of daily weather data will display 10cm soil temperatures (at 09:00). They formerly displayed 5cm values but these are no longer recorded.
