PUBLIC ENGAGAMENT ACTIVITIES:

I participate in ongoing broadcast appearances on international television and science programmes (including BBC The One Show (three appearances), Natural History Unit Insert, Discovery Channel and BBC Three) and radio as a scientific expert. I am also frequently quoted and interviewed in a variety of print and online media.

2008: Co-directed and co-produced a short film “Blood, Tears and Sweat” – a film showcasing the science behind why some people are bitten more than others by mosquitoes

2008: Awarded £10,000 from The Royal Society to produce and take part in a promotional film about science in Africa: “Worlds apart: united by science”. Co-producer and Co-director of the film, with Utopia Studios
