PhD Studentships » Available studentships

Rothamsted Research enjoys an international reputation for the quality of our research across the agricultural, environmental and plant biotechnological sciences and we have well equipped laboratories and professional support services. Our students gain from working in a genuinely multidisciplinary environment which is further enriched by our collaborations with many universities and institutes in the UK and abroad.

The PhD studentships available in the disciplines listed below are funded from a number of sources including BBSRC and attract a minimum annual stipend of £13290 (£15,790 for BBSRC CASE Studentships). (We have yet to receive confirmation of the BBSRC stipend rates for 2010).

During the 2010 intake we have 4-5 BBSRC funded studentships (a combination of Quota and CASE awards), 2 Lawes Agricultural Trust (LAT) / Nottingham Link and 1 LAT / Reading Link studentship.
