PhD Studentships » Finding out more and how to apply

Eligibility

These studentships are open to candidates with a first or upper second class degree, who are settled in the UK and have been resident for three years. BBSRC awards criteria for eligibility can be found here:

Applications for BBSRC Quota or CASE studentships

Candidates are asked to complete a brief form which confirms eligibility (see link below) and submit this with an up-to-date CV to the project supervisor in the first instance (you will find the supervisor’s email contact details and the studentship type and duration on each project outline, note that the application route will differ for the Nottingham link studentships. You are welcome to contact the supervisors to discuss the project before making your application.

Applications for LAT / Reading Studentship

If you wish to apply for a LAT/Reading Studentship please submit your CV with a covering letter addressed to the Rothamsted supervisor by 10 January 2010 along with the brief eligibility form, above.

Applications for LAT / Nottingham Studentships

If you wish to apply for a LAT/Nottingham Studentship, please submit our CV with a covering letter addressed to Lawes Trust Studentship, Helen Wells, Postgraduate Manager, University of Nottingham, School of Biosciences, Sutton Bonington Campus, LE12 5R by 10 January 2010.
