From Junction 9 follow the signage to Redbourn, then Harpenden. From Junction 10, take the A1081 to Harpenden. Car parking is available at the Rothamsted Conference Centre. Train: Harpenden has frequent trains from central London (St Pancras International).

From Luton, take the coach to Luton Airport Parkway train station and take the rail line direct to Harpenden. From Heathrow take a Piccadilly line underground train towards Cockfosters to St Pancras International and take the rail line direct to Harpenden. From Stansted, travel by train into London and then onto St Pancras International. Alternatively, take the coach from Stansted to Luton Airport, take the bus to Luton Airport Parkway train station, then take the train to Harpenden.

From either direction, leave the A14 at slip road signed Higham, Barrow, Cavenham and Tuddenham (junction 40). Take the road to Barrow. Broom's Barn is on the left (NB - do not head for Higham). From the Norwich & Kings Lynn direction, leave A11 at junction 200m past Barton Mills roundabout. At Tuddenham turn right at the church. Follow the road; go over the A14 bridge. After 16 miles, take the exit signposted 'A382 Moretonhampstead' and after 500 metres turn right onto the A3124 (previously B3219) - signposted 'North Tawton'. After crossing over the dual carriageway, there is a Lorry Route sign turning left. Stay on this minor road, cross over at Spitlar Cross and after approx 2 miles you will find North Wyke on your right. For an alternate route for cars, stay on the A3124 for 2 - 3 miles, turn left signposted North Wyke/South Tawton and then right at the first cross roads (Spitlar Cross). North Wyke can be found on the right hand side approximately 2 miles along this road. From OkehamptonFrom Okehampton, take the B3215 (next to the Police Station) left at the traffic lights to Crediton, follow this road for 5 miles, take a right just before the old railway bridge signposted North Wyke.
